Consultation Policy

Thank you for choosing Journey Group. Please read this policy before booking your consultation.

1. Purpose of a Consultation

Your consultation will:

  • Review your visa/immigration situation
  • Check your eligibility for visa options
  • Explain pros and cons of each pathway
  • Provide estimated costs and processing times
Please note:
  • Consultations do not include filling out forms or checking documents.
  • We usually do not give advice on applications already lodged.
  • Booking a consultation does not make us your migration agent. A separate agreement is required for representation.

2. Booking & Payment

  • All consultations must be booked online.
  • Standard consultation: 30 minutes.
  • Full payment required at booking (via Stripe or Square).
  • By booking, you agree to this policy, the Migration Agent Code of Conduct, and the Consumer Guide.

3. Timing & Delays

  • Sometimes appointments may run late due to the complexity of cases.
  • If you arrive late, we may not be able to give you the full 30 minutes.

4. Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Reschedule once with at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • Cancel more than 24 hours before: refund minus $50 admin fee.
  • Cancel less than 24 hours before: no refund.
  • Missed appointments: no refund, but we will try to reschedule.

5. Free 10-Minute Consultation (if available)

  • For new clients in Australia only.
  • A quick eligibility check – not legal advice.
  • One session per person/family.
  • Offer may be changed or withdrawn anytime.

6. Documents Required

To provide accurate advice, please email us:

  • Passport
  • Resume or CV
  • Qualifications
  • Current or past visa documents

We may also check your visa status through VEVO.

7. Confidentiality & File Storage

  • All information is confidential.
  • Shared only if required by law or with your permission.
  • Files are securely kept for 7 years (cannot be deleted on request).

8. After You Book

You will receive:

  • Confirmation email with your appointment details
  • Office address (for in-person consultations)
  • Receipt for payment
  • Link to the Consumer Guide

9. Important Notes

  • Advice given is general only and does not guarantee a visa outcome.
  • A separate agreement is required if you wish to engage us for your visa application.
